Amazing Breakfast and exploring Newport, Seal Beach, and Waldport

Today we explored the three surrounding beach communities to our KOA.

We enjoyed a delectable breakfast at Hilltop Cafe Bistro. Their pancakes were absolutely scrumptious.

When we finished, we realized nothing opened until 10 am. So we decided to head to Newport and explored the historic wharf. We wandered in and out of shops and met an awesome shop keeper who gave our girls some delicious treats and Danny had a wonderful time telling her stories.

We then headed to a store that was part art gallery part agate and crystal shop called Hauser Gallery.

Danny wanted to play so we returned to camp for some down time and a light lunch (James and I were still very stuffed from breakfast).

At low tide, (around 1:15 pm today) headed to Seal Rock for some awesome tide pooling.

After a few hours at the beach, we decided to have an early dinner since James and I had not really had lunch yet and went to Rogue Pub in Newport, took in views of the wharf.

Amazing vegetarian Banh Mi sandwich

We then returned to camp where Danny played and we had small campfire for a little while but the temperature dropped and wind picked up so we decided to head back inside the RV and watch the second Hobbit movie.

Tomorrow we are heading to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Here are some adorable pictures of Danny from the last time we were there. (this was the place where Danny was at the height of his diver obsession and two divers were in the tank cleaning it and played with him for over a half an hour making his little toddler world the brightest it had ever shined.

Diver Danny

Mommy there is a diver!!!

I can dive just like them, I am all ready for my dive today

The awesome divers depicted in these photos were a mother/daughter team that took care of the tanks. They swam around and played with Danny for their entire shift underwater. It was one of the most magical moments ever.

I have a regulator too!

You are my hero

Diving the deep blue

How do I get in the tank

I saw a fish and it was this big

These photos were taken in August 2017, Danny was just 3 years old, now he is 7!!
