Beach 2

Our day began much slower today. The RV had a gas flow problem that James worked his magic and got working again. Kiara had developed a bit of tummy troubles, so we laid low this morning and she felt better by lunch time.

We packed a picnic lunch and traveled to the beach. The beaches up here are without names, so we first checked out South Beach Campground, but it was full and with high tide, there wasn't much beach to play on. We drove past Beach 1 which also didn't offer much, but third time was a charm, we stopped at Beach 2. (yes they literally are called Beach 1 and 2)

The Hike into the beach (about a two minute walk) and at the bottom of the hill, there was the beautiful Pacific Ocean, complete with drift wood to play with and rocks to stack.

I was dismayed to see so much plastic garbage, so I returned to the car to get a garbage bag (which was a gallon ziplock bag), sadly by the end of our adventure today, I filled it with bits of net, plastic bits, bits of nylon rope and trash.

Danny had fun chasing the waves and running with Kiara.

I will close out this day with a beautiful view of the moon. My phone didn't really capture the full majesty of how beautiful it was it popped out between the tree lined ridge along the lake.

Quinault Lake and River are just breathtaking.

Tomorrow we are moving on the Greyland Washington
