Pagosa

I awoke to a chorus of Canadian geese greeting the morning as they searched the golf course grounds for a morning breakfast. I was the first one awake and I relished in the otherwise quiet morning.

We ate breakfast at the condo before we ventured off to explore Pagosa Springs. We checked into the Spa and then made our way to the Hot Springs. It was then that Danny realized that he had forgotten his goggles, so I returned to our condo to collect them. By the time I returned, we realized that the hot springs were not really a good fit for Danny's incredible energy. It was close to lunch time, so we packed it up and headed off to a delightful lunch place called Aqua Sol Waterfront Eatery and Bar

This place had vegan and vegetarian options and I had their Mediterranean salad with Falafel, Danny had their chicken strips and James had tacos. Wow it was really delicious.

We then set off for my massage, and James and Danny went off to explore the river.

Then we switched and James got to have a massage and I took Danny back to play at the river.
The San Juan River was a much better fit. Perhaps when he is older, the hot springs may be awesome, but for now it will have to wait.

After playing in the River, we headed to a playground to play.
Which we had to pause to go pick up James from the Spa, and then we returned. Another family was there and Danny made friends and played for about an hour.

A storm loomed in the distance so we returned to our condo to watch the storm and play our new game Ankh'or (an Egyptian game that is like Century Gollum and Splendor).

For dinner we went to Sushi Fusion. The food was great, but it is definitely a place to go to if you are not in a hurry. I couldn't figure out why it was so slow but the food was delicious so worth the wait.

After dinner, I had a special treat of going back to the Spa for a Sugar Scrub, I had never had one, and though it was intense, the shower afterwards was brilliant. (The spa had like this all angle shower and I seriously could have stood there for hours had it not been for the fact that I knew my massage therapist would like to go home at some point.)

Tomorrow morning, we have a horse back riding tour to a place called Ice Caves (obviously no ice now).
